Kesklinn

Fanning out from Tallinn Bay, sprawling Kesklinn covers the modern city center as well as the cobbled medieval streets, Baltic restaurants, and souvenir stores of the hillside Old Town. The baroque-style Kadriorg Art Museum shows Russian and Western art, and the Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral dates from 1900. Sweeping Freedom Square is home to the Monument to the Estonian War of Independence.
