Palaemonidae

Palaemonidae is a family of shrimp in the order Decapoda. Two subfamilies are distinguished: Palaemoninae and Pontoniinae. Palaemoninae are mainly carnivores that eat small invertebrates and can be found in any aquatic habitat except the deep sea.
