Kwikset is an American lock and lockset manufacturer owned by Spectrum Brands Hardware and Home Improvement Group, a Division of Spectrum Brands. Originally Gateway Manufacturing Company, Kwikset founded in California in 1946 by Adolf Schoepe, and Karl Rhinehart.
