Ribeirao Preto

Ribeirão Preto is a city in southeast Brazil. The neo-Gothic Metropolitan Cathedral overlooks leafy Praça das Bandeiras square. Paintings and other works by contemporary Brazilian artists are displayed at the Ribeirão Preto Art Museum. The Bosque Zoo Fábio Barreto is home to marmosets, capybaras and deer. With an ornate facade, the landmark Pedro II Theater is an opera house dating from the 1920s.
