Lithognathus

Lithognathus is a marine fish genus in the family Sparidae. They are primarily found in coastal regions in Southern Africa, but L. mormyrus also occurs in the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Bay of Biscay and off various islands in the northeast Atlantic.
