Pogonia

Pogonia is a genus of orchids belonging to the subfamily Vanilloideae. The genus takes its name from the Greek pōgōn and pōgōníās, meaning, respectively, 'beard' and 'bearded. ' The species of Pogonia are widespread in East Asia and eastern North America.
