Tien Giang

Tiền Giang is a province in southern Vietnam, in the Mekong Delta. On the outskirts of the capital Mỹ Tho is the ornate Chùa Vĩnh Tràng Buddhist temple. A short boat ride away is Thới Sơn Island with its many fruit trees. Farther upriver is Cái Bè Floating Market, selling fruit and vegetables. In Chợ Gạo District, close to Mỹ Tho, the Gò Thành archeological site displays findings of the ancient Óc Eo culture.
