A Passage to Ottawa
When his mother becomes terminally ill, young Omi (Nabil Mehta) leaves his native India and goes to stay with his uncle Jalal (Ivan Smith) and his family in Ottawa, Canada. As a comic book aficionado, Omi goes on a quest to find a hero who will help him return home and cure his mother's sickness. Omi soon believes that he's found his man in Roland (Jim Codrington), the kind but lonely captain of a local tour boat who happens to catch the eye of Omi's spirited cousin, Safia (Amy Sobol).
