A miscommunication leads country girl Mutsuko (Maki Horikita) to take a job as an apprentice mechanic at a small shop run by family man Norifumi Suzuki (Shinichi Tsutsumi) in the shadow of the construction site for the soon-to-be iconic Tokyo Tower.
