Searing heat, scrumptious meat, and cooking over an open flame is what the summer grilling season represents for many Americans, and Travel Channel celebrates that passion with this competition hosted by chef David Guas. In each episode Guas -- a frequent cooking-segment contributor on NBC's "Today"-- visits a different U. S. city, where he challenges four hard-core barbecuers to use local ingredients -- blue crab in Maryland, quail in Georgia and T-bone steaks in Texas, for instance -- in original recipes that skillfully showcase the grill and embrace regional flavors.
