Captive Hearts

When American pilot Robert (Chris Makepeace) is shot down over Japan during World War II, his captors plan to execute him, until the village elder, Fukushima (Pat Morita), comes to his rescue. As Robert is assimilated into the village's daily life, he becomes close to his captors, especially a youngwidow named Miyoko (Mari Sato).
