In the United States, Glenda Crawford (Betty Grable) buys a horse from Argentinian Ricardo Quintana (Don Ameche), but the sale is canceled when the latter's father, Casiano (J. Carrol Naish), objects because of a long-standing grudge against the Crawfords.
