Ecopolis

Hosted by Nobel Prize-winning scientist Daniel Kammen, this six-part series takes a look at life in a blueprint city called Ecopolis in 2050, and the picture isn't pretty. The computer-generated megacity is dirty, polluted and running out of food, water and fuel. Kammen, a professor at the University of California at Berkeley, evaluates the future problems and addresses them with several technology-driven solutions that could help produce enough food and water, find clean and reliable energy sources, reduce the reliance on oil for transportation, and discover new ways to manage waste.
