Escape from the Dark

In the mines of Yorkshire, England, a company run by the profit-conscious Lord Harrogate (Alastair Sim) uses ponies to carry coal out of the pits. However, when Richard Sandman (Peter Barkworth) informs Harrogate about steam-powered mechanisms that can replace the animals, the ponies are bound for the slaughterhouse.
