Sylvia Robinson was dubbed "The Mother of Hip Hop" for her help in bringing the musical genre into the mainstream through the famed label Sugar Hill Records, which she co-founded in the 1970s with her husband Joe. Decades later, the next generation of the Robinson family is working to keep the label alive while putting its own stamp on music history.
