Hired Wife

Stephen Dexter (Brian Aherne) is a business owner searching for a way to protect his company from an aggressive effort by his competitors to take control. Under the guidance of attorney Roger Van Horn (Robert Benchley), Dexter agrees to marry his secretary, Kendal Browning (Rosalind Russell), in order to sign over his company to her and keep it from the competition. However, when it comes time for the divorce, Kendal isn't so willing to acquiesce, since she really does love him.
