Pam McGee and her son, JaVale, share something in common: being professional basketball players. Pam, a former WNBA player, is also the business manager for her NBA player son, trying to help JaVale build an empire while reining in the glitz and glamour that come with the fame of being a young pro athlete. Pam also tries to manage her own life, which includes navigating the dating scene as a single 50-something woman and turning to her friends -- who also have sons in the NBA -- when she needs someone to laugh with or a shoulder to cry on.
