Apathetic TV journalist Shivaji (Anil Kapoor) isn't much for politics, until he covers a riot in Maharashtra, India, and is vaulted into that world. There, devious Chief Minister Balraj Chauhan (Amrish Puri) challenges Shivaji to serve in his position for a day.
