Resident Advisors
College can be a transformative time, full of upheaval for students who are not yet adults, but much freer than they were under the roofs of their parents. Enter the dorm scene's pseudo-managers -- the resident advisors. They're the focus of the new comedy from Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman (the minds behind"Pitch Perfect" and its sequel). Resident advisor is a job, so it's sort of a workplace comedy, but it's a workplace unlike any other, rife with sex, drugs and the added pressure of midterms. And the RAs in Hutcherson Dorm at Thoreau College have their hands full, from team-building exercises and motivational speakers to concerns about binge drinking and a lockdown in the building. At the end of the day, though, these RAs know how to deal with their responsibilities, and how to let loose and enjoy life.
