Rillington Place
This three-part drama is based on real life events that took place in 1940s and 50s London, starring Tim Roth and Samantha Morton. The story retells the crimes of serial killer John Christie through three different perspectives. After being separated for nine years, Christie and his wife Ethel move in together at 10 Rillington Place. When war hits the country, their relationship becomes strained bringing deceitful and violent behaviours to the surface. Tragedy then ensues which leads to a great miscarriage of justice, events that eventually brought about the abolition of capital punishment in the UK in 1965.
