Robot Combat League

Chris Jericho has been a professional wrestler for more than 20 years, but he's never experienced a fight like he's going to witness as host of this series. "Robot Combat League" features 12 teams made up of a fighter, the robojockey, and a robotics engineer, or robotech, who control 8-foot humanoid robots in three-round fights. Each human duo -- whose day jobs include racecar driver, actor and celebrity impersonator -- are paired with a robot that they control using an exosuit, which translates their movements to the robot. The winning team in each contest advances to the next round of the tournament until only one robot remains, earning its team the $100,000 grand prize. The robots, with such menacing names as A. X. E. , Robo Hammer and Thunder Skull, are designed by robotics expert Mark Setrakian.
