Assistant director and aspiring writer Shekhar invites his friend Rajesh to move in with him after he loses his job. Shekhar quits his job soon after and writes a film script which earns him an advance, but while he searches for a team to help him his script is plagiarised by Rajesh. With a new wife to support and no job to help him, Shekhar is despondent.
