Stanley and Livingstone

In the 1860s, journalist Henry M. Stanley (Spencer Tracy) is sent by his editor to track down a missing British missionary named Dr. David Livingstone (Sir Cedric Hardwicke), who is on an expedition in darkest Africa. Stanley's own exploration into the continent turns up Livingstone, who is living peacefully among the natives, practicing medicine.
