Fed up with oppressively low wages, hazardous working conditions and abject exploitation, labor organizers Wattie (Chris Haywood) and Agnes Doig (Carol Burns) stand up to a corrupt mining company in tiny Korumburra, Australia. After Wattie leaves his job, he and his wife spearhead a strike, demanding to be heard.
