The House in Montevideo is a 1963 German comedy film directed by Helmut Käutner and starring Heinz Rühmann, Ruth Leuwerik and Paul Dahlke. The screenplay concerns a respectable professor who inherits a house and money in Montevideo from his wild sister, on the condition that he himself behaves in a disreputable way.
