The Pistol: The Birth of a Legend
Growing up in a small South Carolina town in 1959, Pete Maravich (Adam Guier) is encouraged by his father, Press (Nick Benedict), to pursue his basketball dreams despite his small stature. Allowed to join the varsity team by coach Vern Pendleton (Murrell "Boots" Garland), Pete's fast playing style earns him the nickname "Pistol," but his success draws the ire of the coach's son (Buddy Petrie). Despite initial opposition, Pete keeps playing in this true story about the basketball legend.
