Ton of Cash

There's a ton at stake for the cash-strapped contestants in this reality-competition series . . . literally. The challenge? A 300-mile journey during which the 14 players must work together to transport exactly 2,000 pounds of cold, hard cash from Los Angeles to Las Vegas without losing a single dollar. While that may sound relatively easy, the route the contestants take is not -- they have to cross such tough landscapes as mountain ranges and barren deserts and also get past both natural and man-made obstacles, and they have to arrive at checkpoints in allotted times. Failing that, the prize amount decreases . . . but so does the money load they have to carry to the next location. Helping them decide how to best negotiate the journey's legs are financial advisers.
