Aimless teen Ryan (Ryan Daugherty) escapes from a juvenile detention center in Florida. Life on the outside doesn't offer him many opportunities, so he wanders from town to town, fantasizing that he is an alien in human form, and trying to stay away from trouble. But trouble does find him in the guise of unfriendly strangers and another mixed-up young man who wants Ryan to help him stage a robbery.
