As the first woman police constable to serve in her West Midlands hometown, Gina Dawson is determined to prove she belongs as a 1950s policewoman working in a man's world. She's excited to be the lead on cases, but her independent, outspoken style clashes with the expectations others have for her new assignment: to make the tea for the men and do their typing.
