Bambuterol is a long-acting β adrenoceptor agonist used in the treatment of asthma; it also is a prodrug of terbutaline. Commercially, the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical company produces and markets bambuterol as Bambec and Oxeol. It is not available in the U. S.
