Gasterosteiformes is an order of ray-finned fishes that includes the sticklebacks and relatives. In the Gasterosteiformes, the pelvic girdle is never attached to the cleithra directly, and the supramaxillary, orbitosphenoid, and basisphenoid bones are absent.
