About 1954 BOAC Lockheed Constellation . . .
A British Overseas Airways Corporation Lockheed L-749A Constellation crashed and caught fire as it attempted to land at Kallang Airport on 13 March 1954, killing 33 of the 40 passengers and crew. The accident occurred when the aircraft struck a seawall on approach to the runway.
