2009 Shootings Of Oakland Police Officers

Four Oakland, California police officers were fatally shot on March 21, 2009, by Lovelle Mixon, a convicted felon wanted on a no-bail warrant for a parole violation, who had also committed a series of violent rapes linked to him by DNA. Mixon shot and killed two Oakland police officers during a routine traffic stop.
