Jay, a young farm boy, finds a cricket and puts it in his pocket. He makes a home for Cricket and feeds him, and every night Circket fiddles for Jay, while they wait for summer' end. On the first day of school, on a last minute impulse, Cricket goes to school in Jay's pocket.
