Abū Kāmil, Shujāʿ ibn Aslam ibn Muḥammad Ibn Shujāʿ was an Egyptian mathematician during the Islamic Golden Age. He is considered the first mathematician to systematically use and accept irrational numbers as solutions and coefficients to equations.
