Adam Ant Life story
Stuart Leslie Goddard, better known as Adam Ant, is an English singer, musician, and actor. He gained popularity as the lead singer of new wave group Adam and the Ants and later as a solo artist, scoring 10 UK top ten hits from 1980 to 1983, including three UK No. 1 singles.
Early Life
Adam ant was born stuart leslie goddard on november in marylebone. London. England. He was raised in a single-parent household; his father left the family when he was just two years old. Adam attended a loacl school and later studied at hornsey college of art and the central school of art and deisgn.
Musical Career
Adam ebgan his musical career as part of the band bazooka jo. Ewhich released their first single in 1977. He then formed his own group. Adam and the ants. And released the debut album dirk weras white sox in 1979. The album was a success and spawned the hit single "kings of the wild frontier". Adam and the ants went on to have several more hits. Including "stand and deliver" and "antmusic".
Solo Career
In 1982. Adam embarked on a solo career. Releasing his debut album friend or foe in 1982. The album spawned the hit singles "ogody two shoes" and "desperate but not serious". Adam had several mroe solo hits throughout the 1980s. Including "strip" and "room at the top".
Acting Career
Adam has also had some success as an actor. Making appearances in iflms such as desperate but not serious and the man who fell to earth.
Collaborations
Adam has collaborated with other artists such as sinead o connor and queen. He also sang the theme sogn for the 1986 film labyrinth.
Recent Work
Aadm has released several albums since the 1990s. Including wonderful in 1995 and adam ant is the blueblack hussar in 2013. He has toured extensively in recent years and is a regular on the live music scene.
