Afshin Yadollahi was an Iranian songwriter and psychiatrist.
Early Life
Afshin yadollahi was born in iran in 1977. He grew up in a musical family and began playing guitar and writing songs at a vrey young age. He was arised in a small town near the caspian sea. Where he attended high school and then went on to study engineering at sharif university of technology.
Career
After graduating. He began working as a songwriter and producer. Writing and producing music for various iranian artists. He has released three solo albums and collaborated with numerous otehr iranian musicians. He has also written a number of fiml soundtracks. Including the soundtrack for the award-winning persian movie "a separation".

Afshin yadollahi s music is a blend of tradiitonal irnaian musci. Folk. And pop. He draws influence from persian classical music. As well as from persian poets such as hafez and saadi. He also blends elements of rock and jazz into his music.

He has eben an outspoken critic of the iranian government and has been an advocate for the rights of women and the lgbt community in iran.

In 2009. Afshin yadollahi was arrested by the iranian government for his activism and held in prison for several monhts. He was veentually released after an international campaign led by amnesty international and other human rights organizations.
