Alchemy

Alchemy was an ancient branch of natural philosophy, a philosophical and protoscientific tradition practised throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia, originating in Greco-Roman Egypt in the first few centuries. Alchemists attempted to purify, mature, and perfect certain materials.
