Aleksandre "Aleksi" Machavariani was a Georgian composer and conductor. Aleksi Machavariani was born in Gori, Russian Empire. He graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatory in 1936 and remained there for postgraduate studies. He studied composition under Pyotr Ryazanov.
