Alessandro Montessori Life story
Alessandro Montessori was the father of Maria Montessori. He married Renilda Stoppani in 1866. Alessandro was sent to Chiaravalle in 1865 by the Ministry of Finance, and by 1870 was employed at a tobacco works in the town. His daughter was born into a lower middle class family.
