Alfred Tippinge Life story
Lieutenant-Colonel Alfred Tippinge, KCH was a British Army officer. As a Grenadier Guard he "served with distinction" in four fields of the Crimean War of 1854: at Alma, Balaclava, Sebastapol and Inkerman. At Inkerman he was badly wounded and left for dead for 24 hours before rescue.
