Algernon Coolidge Life story
Algernon Sidney Coolidge and his twin brother, Philip Sidney Coolidge were born in Boston, August 22, 1830. Algernon was educated abroad and received the degree of M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1853. He afterwards studied medicine in Vienna. Coolidge served as a surgeon in the earlier days of the Civil War.
