About Allied Air Flight 111
On 2 June 2012, Allied Air Flight 111, a Boeing 727 cargo plane on a flight from Lagos, Nigeria, crashed on landing at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana, killing twelve people on the ground. The aircraft overran the runway, broke through the airport perimeter fence and struck a minibus on a roadway.
