About Altkönig
Altkönig the third highest mountain of the Taunus range in Hesse, Germany, reaching 798 metres above sea level. In the La Tène period around 400 BC, the Celts settled the Altkönig. They built Heidetrank Oppidum, several ringwalls around the summit which are still evident.
