About American Idia Moth
Idia americalis, the American idia or American snout, is a litter moth of the family Erebidae. The species was first described by Achille Guenée in 1854. It is found from southern Canada to Florida and Texas. The wingspan is about 25 mm. Adults are on wing from May to October. There are multiple generations per year.
