Ammalakkalu is a 1953 Telugu drama film, produced by Lena Chettiar under the Krishna Pictures banner and directed by D. Yoganand in his directorial debut. Dasari Yogaand was stated to direct Thodu dongalu as his debut but after looking at the first copy, NTR suggested him to take help with L. V. Prasad.
