Armas Otto Väisänen Life story
Armas Otto Aapo Väisänen was an eminent Finnish scholar of folk music, an ethnographer and ethnomusicologist. Väisänen was born in Savonranta. In the early twentieth century he documented, in recordings and photographs, traditional Finnish music and musicians.
