About Asoriculus
Asoriculus is an extinct genus of terrestrial shrews in the subfamily Soricinae and tribe Nectogalini, native to Europe and North Africa. The best known species, Asoriculus gibberodon, was widespread in Europe from the Late Miocene to the Early Pleistocene.
