Avey Tare & Kría Brekkan were a musical duo consisting of singer-songwriters Dave Portner of Animal Collective and Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir, formerly of múm. The two started playing music together in the summer of 2005. The two were married from 2006 to 2008 and are currently separated.
