Baalberith

Baʿal Berith and El Berith are titles of gods, worshiped in Shechem, in ancient Canaan, according to the Bible. The term for "covenant" appears also in Ugaritic texts as brt, in connection with Baʿal, and perhaps as Beruth in Sanchuniathon's work.
